DR. RAMNEEK NAKAI
Dr. Ramneek K. Nakai, DO is a board-certified allergist and internal medicine physician with a deep commitment to improving her patient's quality of life. She brings nearly two decades of diverse clinical and academic experience to Allergy and Wellness Care, serving both children and adults.
Before attending medical school, Dr. Nakai earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master's in Healthcare Administration from New York University. Dr. Nakai earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She went on to pursue specialized fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology at Nova Southeastern University–Larkin Hospital, where she served as Chief Fellow.
Over the years, Dr. Nakai has practiced in a range of settings—from large health systems like Northwell Health and Guthrie Clinic to academic and community hospitals—developing a reputation for compassionate care, clinical excellence, and patient education. She served as the head of the Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology department at Guthrie Clinic. She has also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. She is currently a Fellow with the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
With advanced training in both adult and pediatric allergy and immunology, Dr. Nakai specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions such as environmental and food allergies, asthma, eczema, sinus disease, and immune deficiencies. In addition to her work in allergy and immunology, Dr. Nakai has a personal passion for obesity medicine and women’s health. Having navigated many of these challenges herself, she is deeply empathetic to the complexities her patients face. She is committed to helping others achieve sustainable wellness through compassionate, individualized care that addresses hormonal health, metabolism, weight, and overall vitality—especially for women in all stages of life.
In founding Allergy and Wellness Care, Dr. Nakai’s vision is to provide accessible, high-quality care tailored to the needs of busy families and professionals across Long Island.
